Application Process for MA

How to Apply to a Medical Assistant Training Program

Before you can scrub up and handle patients, you must first apply to a school. The process isn’t very difficult; however, it’s a pivotal step in getting in to the school of your choice. Thus, it’s very important you take your time and complete the process correctly and accurately.

1. Browse through our database to find schools in your area. We also have a selection of facilities that offer online courses, if you’re interested in a distance-learning program.

2. Narrow down you selections based on distance, tuition and the education offered throughout the program. Remember, if you’re going to attend on-site training, you want to decide on a program that provides a blend of classroom education and hands-on training. The hands-on portion should be a majority of the program, because employers are looking for someone who can actually do the job.

3. Make your final decision on the school you want to attend. From our listing, click on the school of your choice. There will be a link to click on that takes you directly to the application. From here, you can apply to that particular school.

4. Fill out the information asked of you. Generally, the first portion of the application asks for information regarding your personal info. This includes your first and last name, as well as your middle initial. Your address and social security number will also be field you must fill out.

5. Continue completing the application. At this point, most applications inquire about your educational background and activities you participate in. Complete this section accurately and honestly, so if you have any transfer credits, they can go toward your education in the MA training program. Follow the rest of the instructions until you finish the entire application.

6. Press the submit button. Wait for the school to send you your letter of acceptance. Upon receipt of the notice, the school asks for additional information. This may include a copy of your birth certificate and social security card. Other necessary information like a copy of your high school diploma may also be on the checklist of items to send in. Typically, the school allows you to fax the required documentation.

7. Complete the financial aid forms, if applicable. Some schools have you do this shortly after you apply. Be honest on your application for financial aid. It’s very easy to detect fraudulent and falsified information.
