Outline your educational background and any skills that related to the job that place you above other potential candidates.

7. Check your local Penny Saver. This small publication has a classified section consisting of listings for jobs.
8. Ask for assistance from your school’s guidance counselor. He or she may have listings to job openings in the region.
9. Call local physician’s offices. They might not have placed a job in a wanted ad, but are in need of some help. After you ask the office if they’re hiring, ask if you can fax them your resume. Don’t hesitate checking for jobs at specialist’s offices. Cardiologists and radiologists both need medical assistants, so it doesn’t hurt to call around. Even a nutritionist or a dietician could use some help in the office.
10. Inquire at your local hospital. Oftentimes, medical assistants are needed in specialized areas and in the emergency room. By working in specialized areas, you can open the doors to more opportunities.
11. Apply for any open positions. Don’t limit yourself by applying to only one job. You never want to place all your eggs in one basket.
